How do I use digital ID to verify my age when applying for a 16-25 Railcard?

To verify your age using digital ID, you’ll need to use the Chrome browser on an Android mobile device and have a digital ID pass stored in Google Wallet. To create an ID pass you need a UK or US passport.

Digital ID verification is only available when purchasing a Railcard for yourself and isn’t supported on iPhones, other browsers, or desktop computers.

If you don’t have or prefer not to use a digital ID, you can still verify your age by manually entering the document number from your passport, UK driving licence, or EEA national identity card.

If your digital ID verification fails, don’t worry—you can switch to manual entry using one of the accepted documents listed above.
