5 best (affordable!) London rooftops

30th April 2018

It’s finally rooftop season, so take your socialising to new heights with this list of things to do over the bank holiday weekends. We like to think that we’ve put together a list of some of the quirkiest (and let’s not forget cheapest) rooftops London has to offer.

  1. The Culpeper Rooftop

Get ‘An Introduction to Organic Container Growing’ on The Culpeper Rooftop, a gastropub with a rooftop garden. Grower Janelle will offer knowledge on urban gardening, how to plant, grow and harvest cucumbers and a variety of flowers in small spaces. Ticket price includes lunch made of produce harvested by participants, which is served at the foot of an 8ft gherkin. What more could you ask for?!

Tickets: £25

Date: Saturday May 5th 2018

Closest train station: Liverpool Street

  1. Rooftop Film Club

Enjoy the latest movies or indulge in old favourites with the Rooftop Film Club. With a variety of genres and venues to choose from, you can ditch those cramped theatres with sticky floors and head to rooftop heaven and enjoy your favourite flicks.

Tickets: from £15.95

  1. Birdie’s Rooftop Crazy Golf

Head out for an extraordinary rooftop/crazy golf experience at Birdie’s. Better than ever with a newly refreshed 9-hole (circus themed!) course and lots of new obstacles. Grab your mates and get ready for a day of clowning around.

Tickets: £9.50

Closest train station: Stratford

  1. Yoga at the Shard

Okay, so technically this one isn’t a rooftop, but it’s yoga with a view that can’t be beat. Enjoy a Saturday morning sunrise with a yoga class at the Shard (level 24). Taught by Yogasphere founder, Leo Lourdes. Based on his meditations and climbing in the Himalayas, this class is sure to take your zen to new heights.

Tickets: £25

Closest train station: London Bridge

  1. Brunch at Radio Rooftop

Sunny weekends were made for rooftop brunches. Head to Radio Rooftop to experience their new brunch menu every Saturday and Sunday beginning at 11am. Our favourite is the Ricotta pancakes with banana and honeycomb butter. Yum!
